Lifestyle changes for Prevention of Illness. This year the ADT Health Ministry will focus on providing prevention tips for various illness and conditions.
August the focus is STROKE. The 3 things to focus on for the month is:
Think "FAST" and do the following:
1. FACE - Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?
2. ARMS - Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward? Or is one arm unable to rise?
2. SPEECH - Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is his or her speech speech slurred or strange?
3. TIME - If you observe any of these signs, call 911 or emergency medical help immediately.
